Thinking of Taking a Cruise?

Holidays are upon us and it's time to make those travel plans. A beautiful resort such as Seven Stars Grace Bay Beach Resort or a cruise? Hmmm, what to do? According to CNN, seems like a Holland America cruise ship was disturbed Saturday morning because of an intoxicated passenger who decided to drop the ship's anchor according to an affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun website. The MS Ryndam was not damaged but it could have caused a lot of problems for the ship and the passengers. The ship was travelling from Costa Maya, Mexico to Tampa, Florida. The intoxicated individual Mr. Ehlert was arrested on Sunday on a felony charge and was taken into custody. Now cruises are fun but when you hear of stories such as the one you just read it makes you think that the resort trip would have been a better choice. Travel Deals

According to American Express Traveler’s consumer booking data from the month of September, travels have been up 11% compared to the same time last year on domestic flights and 16% for international flights. The same reports indicate that 40% of people plan to travel this upcoming holiday season and 88% of them staying in the US. If you’re planning on traveling during the Christmas season to vacation by the beach, head to Seven Stars Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales Turks and Caicos. You’ll enjoy a ton of sun, water sports, relaxing spa services and great dining. For a great airline ticket price, try to stay flexible with your travel dates. Look for airfares on websites that can compare many search engines at once. And try to compare prices between different days. Traveling on a Monday or Tuesday can save you a lot of money. Also, choose returning flights that are not as popular, with less traveling passengers on a certain date, you can score a better price. For example, traveling on the Tuesday or Wednesday before Christmas can get you a better deal on airfare, the same for the return the Tuesday or Wednesday after.

Language Mistakes

CNN posted online an article with findings from a new survey from 300 British travelers revealing common and funny mistakes travelers make abroad. The survey was conducted by Owners Direct, a company that advertises vacation properties. The article talked about a traveler in Greece calling an elderly woman a squid mixing up ‘good morning which is ‘kalimera’ with ‘calamari’. Or someone else who asked for her ‘head baked al forno’. ‘Al forno’ means food from the oven. All she wanted was a hair dryer. Many travelers interviewed admitted to having said they wished’ good morning’ instead of ‘good night.’ This survey found that 95% of respondents try to talk to locals in their native language. CNN says the most commonly used vocabulary was ‘hello’, ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘goodnight’, ‘where are the toilets?’ and ‘ a bottle of house red, please.’
For no mistakes in your vocabulary, head to Grace Bay Beach on your next vacation. Seven Stars Resort is the place to be for luxurious accommodations and unparalleled service. Head to Seven Stars and live the good life for a little bit.

Traveling Bags That Will Save You Money

Traveling has gotten expensive lately, with fuel surcharges, blanket fees and baggage fees, it has gotten pretty ridiculous. It’s even expensive around the airport with having to purchase food in small overpriced cafes because they’re not serving food onboard planes anymore or rarely. But Seven Stars Resort and Hotel in Grace Bay Beach still want you to visit and enjoy the very best that Turks and Caicos has to offer so we’re here to help with a few bags that can help you save money. The roller such as Delsey’s newest 21-inch Helium Fusion Lite is just over nine pounds and is rolled around on inline skate type of wheels. You can get it for about $90 according to CNN online. There’s a backpack that’s great for traveling called the Reisenthel Mini Max. It can transform into a wallet-size pouch and tucked away in your suitcase in case you don’t need the extra bag on your way back from your trip or for later use. And keep looking on your won for lighter suitcases, because the lighter the weight, the more you can pack into one bag and won’t have to check in multiple bags and pay multiple times.

Celebrating the Wheeled Suitcase

US Luggage debuted its wheeled suitcase in 1970. According to CNN, Bernard Sadow had trouble selling his rolling suitcase idea. He showed the idea to department stores in New York City and to buying offices but everybody thought he was crazy to attach wheels to luggage. He was inspired himself with the idea when he was going through customs in Puerto Rico with two large 27-inch suitcases that were tightly packed and didn’t have any help with them when he saw someone moving a piece of machinery on a wheeled platform. So he attached four casters to the bottom of a suitcase and added a flexible strap and tried selling his new wheeled luggage with the suitcase trailing behind him. He finally impressed the vice president of Macy’s and Sadow applied for a US patent in 1970 and in 1972 he got the first successful patent on wheeled suitcases. It took almost 20 years for the next advancement in rolling luggage. Today’s luggage, pulled on two wheels with a retractable handle was invented in the 80s by Northwest Airlines pilot Bob Plath.
Pack your wheeled luggage and fly over to Turks and Caicos to stay at the luxurious resort Seven Stars in Grace Bay Beach.

Weird Hotels Around the World

When you think of the word hotel, you think accommodations with a view, a few amenities, complimentary breakfast, a temporary home away from home. However Budget ravel online has listed a few strange hotels that defy the ordinary image of what a hotel or resort is. So Seven Stars Grace Bay Beach resort thought it would be interesting to share the news. In Berlin, there’s the Propeller Island City Lodge which has 30 weird rooms. On room has furniture attached to the ceiling, another has coffins instead of beds, another has lion cages on stilts, another has a ini-golf course surrounding the bed. The Hang Nga Guest House and Art Gallery is nicknamed the Crazy House. There are three main buildings have treehouse-like growths that appear as if the flowed naturally out of the ground. Inside the walls seem to dissolve in the floor and there are no right angles. There are also rooms themed after animals. Seven Stars found out there;s even a underwater lodge, 21 feet underwater called Jules’ Undersea Lodge which is closet to he Emerald Lagoon. The Hotel Costa Verde is an actual salvaged 1965 Boeing plane with two bedrooms, dining area and sitting area in the Manuel Antonio National Park.

Grace Bay Beach Was Wonderful

My Turks and Caicos vacation was great thanks to Seven Stars Resort. The entire experience was so wonderful. It was my first vacation with my two-year boyfriend and it was definitely romantic and everything I could have wished for. He booked for us a splendid room with an ocean view, so every morning before we head out for breakfast, we just gazed outside our room for a little bit. Seven Stars Hotel in Grace Bay Beach had incredible service, every one of the staff seemed to be there just to make our experience enjoyable. Every one helped when they can and everything we asked for , we received. Turks and Caicos in itself is a beautiful place, perfect for couples in love looking to spend quality time with each other. So you don’t have to go very far, just spend your time relaxing and lounging around. Avoid Check-in Fees When You Travel To Seven Stars

Most airlines these days are charging many fees, from check-in fees, to baggage fees to pillow and blanket fees and more. And travelers are complaining about it and trying to find ways to escape these fees, like packing only a carry on instead of an entire piece of luggage. A recent survey by Consumer Reports reported that baggage and added fees were the top complaints by Americans. Even the Department of Transportation is getting involved. They’re trying to get airlines to better disclose baggage fees to passengers. If you’re thinking of visiting us in Turks and Caicos, Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort has tips for you to lower or avoid the baggage fees altogether. Try paying the fees online, you might save money because sometimes at the airport, these fees are higher. Check in two suitcases instead of one that’s heavy, because if a bag is overweight, you’ll also get charged. So if you’re coming to Seven Stars Hotel in Providenciales with your spouse, you should each pack your won suitcase. If you’re just packing a carry-on, make sure it’s light, because if it’s too big or too heavy, you’ll get charged.

Congestion in Airports During Summer Season

We’d love to have you as guests at the luxury Turk and Caicos resort, Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort this summer. We have the very best in accommodations, food and relaxation, plus you can enjoy the sun, the beach and stunning sunsets. We’d love to help you escape the hassles that can occur at the airports, what with over-crowdness and multiple security checks, traveling can get tiring sometimes. However, Seven Stars Grace Bay Hotel is truly worth it. That’s why we’re helping you get familiar with some of the airports that are having some construction and other related-projects that can make getting on a flight a little less comfortable. John F. Kennedy International Airport’s runaway is shut down until July, so if you’re flying from NYC try another airport or book your stay at Seven Stars for the month of August. Miami International Airport is gradually opening a new terminal, but the passenger train that’s going to be serving that area won’t be working until the fall season. There’s a highway project going on at Dallas-Fort Worth International airport. Forbes.com reports a survey done for 32 airports, and said the busiest ones during the summer are always the same including New York’s LaGuardia and JFK, Newark, Miami (MIA), Boston’s Logan International (BOS), Philadelphia and San Francisco.

Travel Size

Memorial Day Weekend is here and so is the busy summer travel season. Lots of you will be flying to visit us at the luxurious Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort in Turks and Caicos. You’ll need to remember all of the airport security rules from the TSA and know whether to check in your bags or not. The one easy and general rule of thumb is the three one one rule. Escape Increased Airfare. Come To Seven Stars Hotel Now

Now may be a great time to come and visit us at the Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort in Turks and Caicos and indulge in the very best accommodations and hotel amenities because, according to a article on Walletpop.com, fuel surcharges are likely to push airfare higher to compensate for the 25% increase in airline gas prices by this summer. Major carriers flying domestic and international routes paid $2.18 for a gallon of gas for the first three months of the year, which is the highest price since oil spiked in 2008. The last time travelers paid these fees was in 2008 when most carriers added $100 surcharge to a roundtrip base ticket. Right now airfare is already 22% higher than it was a year ago, and by this summer for the months of June, July and August, airfare will be around %75 a ticket more than last summer. The News On Sunscreen

If you’re headed on vacation and can’t wait to lay out in the sun, swim a few laps and basically live outdoors for a few days, the staff at Seven Stars Grace Bay Beach Resort can help you with a few tips and advice on the different types of sunscreen out there as well as uncover some of the misconceptions around it. These days even the FDA is pushing towards getting rid of the ‘waterproof’ label, because no sunscreen is completely waterproof. People have to reapply the product throughout the day to get maximum protection. There’s also a myth that twice the SPF is twice the protection, for example that SPF 30 is twice as good as SPF 15. The truth is that it’s only a few percentages higher. You should always go higher than SPF 30 and if you’ve got light skin and eyes, go with SPF 50 or even more. The Skin Cancer Foundation advises us to go with sunscreens that have some mix of avobenzone, oxybenzone, mexoryl, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. There are many types out there from vitamin D-enriched formulas and for oily skin types to mineral-based and kid-friendly to anti-aging and more. You can also get sunscreen in spray form, cream, gel and even stick. However you like your SPF, make sure you protect yourself from the sun.

Seven Stars Grace Bay Beach Hotel invites you to come try out your favorite sunscreen formulas in Turk and Caicos. You’ll love the beach in Providenciales, the luxurious accommodations and delicious, gourmet food.

Turks and Caicos? Canadian Ties?

According to an article on NationalPost.com, Sir Robert Borden, the prime minister, was the first to broach the idea of a link between Canada and the sunny Turks and Caicos, the 40-island archipelago southeast of the Bahamas. Ralph Higgs, director of the TCI tourism board, was a member of a delegation that travelled to Ottawa in 1987 to discuss the possibility of Turks and Caicos becoming the 11th province of Canada. The Mulroney government nixed the idea. Providenciales, or Provo, wasn’t really populated 20 years ago, only three resorts on Grace Bay Beach. Today, Grace Bay gets rave reviews and it’s also home to the famous Seven Stars Resort. Tourism statistics, according to the article, show that between 2008 and 2009, there was an increase of 20% in Canadians visits. With Americans, the increase was 4.4%. Grace Bay Beach attracts lots of celebrities too, including Shaquille Oneal.

Book your vacation to Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales and head to the most comfortable and luxurious resort, Seven Stars Grace Bay Beach. You’ll benefit not only from splendid ocean views, but also from delicious food, unparalleled service, a relaxing spa and the chance to make memories to last a lifetime.

Inspired To Travel

An article on CNN.com announces some of the best movies that inspire people to travel. It lists movies with beautiful scenery, spectacular photography as well as of course, a great story and a few famous actors. The article states Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck as a source of inspiration. Before Sunrise and Before Sunset as well. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy decide to walk around Vienna, Austria and then again in the sequel, the actors find themselves in Paris, France. Under the Tuscan Sun, based on the memoirs of Frances Mayes, has actually inspired about 20 expats to purchase houses in the town of Cortona. Diane Lane plays a divorced American who decides to buy and renovate a villa in Tuscany, Italy. Sideways features California’s wine country and more movie hits that make you want to take a vacation.
For your very own inspiration, head to your local bookstore and pick up a few books on Turks and Caicos. You’ll love the photography and you’ll realize how beautiful this place is. For a great vacation in Providenciales, head to Seven Stars Resort. The service is amazing and Grace Bay Beach is mesmerizing. You’ll enjoy great food, comfortable hotel rooms and a vacation to remember.

Seven Stars Was My Dream Vacation

Staying at the Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort was truly a dream. I was such in need of relaxation. I’ve been working on a huge marketing campaign at work that involved such intricate details and leading a team of 8 people and getting ready for them to pitch the idea to our client. Anyhow, a vacation in Turks and Caicos is exactly what the doctor ordered. I went with a very close friend of mine who also wanted to get away for a little while and we had the best time. Grace Beach was beautiful. The accommodations at Seven Stars hotel were so nice and comfortable. It was really great not to do too much, just lounge around, read magazines and catch up on some girl talk. Sometimes that’s all you need in order to refresh and reboot for the next upcoming work weeks. I wanted to personally thank the entire staff at the luxurious Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort for making this vacation very relaxing for me and for the amazing service they provided for my friends and I. Thanks a lot, I will definitely be coming back to Turks and Caicos very soon. This testimonial was by Joy R. Los Brooklyn, NY.

How To Pack Before You Come To Grace Bay

So when you’re ready to come visit us at the Seven Stars Grace Bay Hotel, these little tips will get you through the lines at the airport faster and with less stress. Don’t overpack electronics in your checked baggage when possible. If you need to pack film, it should go in your carry-on. Don’t wrap gifts, because if a security officer needs to inspect your bag, they’ll have to unwrap it. If you need to bring hair products, toothpaste and other toiletries, you can buy them travel-sized and place them in your carry-on in a plastic clear bag. As far as coats and jackets are concerned, especially if you’re coming from a cold place, put them in your checked baggage because they need to go through the x-ray machine. Also, when packing, make sure you pack everything in an organized way and in layers. It’s easier for inspector to see what’s in your bag. You’ll get through the lines and faster to Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort by dressing correctly too. No heavy jewelry, keys, loose change, cell phones all of that will set off the alarm when you pass through the metal detector. The same goes for belt buckles, hair barrettes, even some body piercings.

I Miss The Seven Stars Resort

Turks and Caicos is such a dreamy destination, the sun, the sand, the sea, the palm trees, and the weather doesn’t get better than that. All you want to do is lay out in the sun, get comfortable on your beach towel and doze off while the sun rays caress your skin. My vacation at the Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort was awesome. I spend entire afternoons relaxing by the salt-water pool too, listening to music on my ipod and applying and reapplying my sunscreen. Just writing about Grace Bay makes me want to be there all over again. It was so peaceful and quiet and the service at the Seven Stars Hotel was great too. The entire staff helped whenever they can, all I needed or wanted I just asked for and got, it really couldn’t have been a better vacation. I had packed so many clothes thinking I would change outfits a lot, but I ended up just relaxing and being so casual the whole time. The two things I did wear a lot was my bathing suit and flip-flops. Now that I’m back in the snow, I would do anything to be back at Grace Bay beach in the Provo. Documents Needed To Enter Turks and Caicos

So you planned your much needed vacation, you bought those few extra resort clothes and even loaded up on the SPF. You made your Seven Stars Grace Bay Hotel reservations, got your oceanview room and even checked in with the concierge to find out about the water sports available on Grace Bay beach. But did you think about what kind of documents you’ll need to enter the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos? Don’t worry, the British territories of Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Montserrat, and the Turks and Caicos islands only require American tourists to have passports not visas. They’ll also ask you to have return or continuing trip tickets so make sure to have these. Montserrat and the Turks and Caicos islands also have an airport departure tax. Now you can relax, all you need is a passport to travel to Turks and Caicos and stay in the luxurious Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort. But remember if you’re only passing through Turks and Caicos, staying a few days and then heading to another island, that other island might need you to present a visa because every island has different requirements and laws. So find out what type of documentation you might need before you head out to relax. That way you’ll truly be relaxing and not stuck and surprised in an airport somewhere.

Try SNUBA in Providenciales

SNUBA is a unique water diving experience somewhere in between scuba diving and snorkeling. It’s fun for couples, families and ids over the age of eight. It’s kind of like snorkeling with a 20-ft snorkel that water can’t get into and you don’t have to come back up for air. SNUBA is possible by having a diving tank on a SNUBA raft that stays on the surface. You’ll be breathing the same was a scuba diver would. To SNUBA, you don’t need long lessons in the pool, you can be enjoying the marine life underwater in half an hour. In Providenciales, that means you have a chance to encounter lobsters, crabs, stingrays, turtles, eagle rays, coral reefs and more.

If you’re in Providenciales in Turks and Caicos to experience SNUBA, you’ll have to also spend some time in the luxurious accommodations of Seven Stars Grace Bay Resort. Enjoy the white sandy stretch of beach, the relaxing atmosphere, a world-class spa and a heated swimming pool. Seven Stars Hotel in Grace Bay has wonderful suites, all different in size, but all just as luxurious and stylish. Some oceanfront, some with a garden view. Expect flat screen televisions, DVD players, ceiling fans, air conditioning, complimentary internet and bath amenities.

I Can’t Wait To Go Back To Seven Stars Resort

Wow, what a great, relaxing vacation I just had with my husband. Some much needed time off from the stresses of work and the holidays. Turks and Caicos is magnificent and the Seven Stars Resort even better. Our oceanfront, junior sure was superb, it was spacious with gorgeous views of Grace Bay Beach and the bed was so, so comfortable, I could sleep in it forever. But of course, I got up from time to time to enjoy the salt-water pool on the premises. I spent days just lounging around and soaking up the sun. I wish I can be there. A friend of ours had told us about Seven Stars Hotel in Turks and Caicos, they said they had a great time vacationing here and even showed us pictures. As soon as we saw the ocean views, we knew we were going to be booking a room in this Grace Bay Hotel. All I can say is that our vacation was even better than what I expected. The service at this luxury Seven Stars Resort was unparalleled, the spa was blissful and the memories we made there will last us a lifetime. I can’t wait to go back and make some more. I would definitely recommend this Grace Bay Resort to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the sun. This testimonial is by Lindsey Oakes, Brooklyn, NY.
